ShelterBox
At our last rotary meeting, David Addor a ShelterBox Ambassador joined us to share more about the organization's mission and impact. As a fellow Rotarian, David explained how ShelterBox has evolved from a simple green box emergency kit to a program that tailors each kit to the unique needs of disaster-affected communities. ShelterBox responds to natural disasters, climate change impacts, and conflict zones, with multiple distribution sites worldwide that enable faster, more efficient responses. By working with more local partners and increasing their presence on the ground, they can address specific needs more effectively. ShelterBox originated from a local Rotary club, much like Centennial, and has since grown into a global initiative. Dedicated to continuous learning and improvement, ShelterBox always strives to ensure that no one is left without shelter after a disaster.
