2. Sam Brownlee for February
The Sam Brownlee recipient for March is from the Weld County Sheriff’s office. Lisa Carpenter served for 20 years as a deputy and school resource officer before she moved to the Civil Desk in the office, though she still keeps in touch with the schools she served. Through her different positions, she has served as the President of Weld Elves. All of her work for Weld Elves is on her own time. Matt Turner, commented that she can be found in the office as late as midnight, waiting for a delivery of toys. This year, they served 1900 children from 650 families. Matt said that Lisa characterizes “Service Above Self” in her time as a deputy, her work at the Civil Desk, and especially her work with Weld Elves.Congratulations, Lisa!
