1. Service Above Self award for May
Angelica Aguilar was recognized for her outstanding work as an EMT in Greeley. Captain Gress, of UC Health EMS, shared that one of her most difficult calls took her to the home of a family member in critical need of care, but she fulfilled her duties calmly and professionally.  Angelica expressed her thanks to EMS trauma counselors and said that the recognition of the Rotary Service Above Self award was very much appreciated.
 2. Induction for new Thursday Lunch Bunch member
Thursday Rotarians welcomed their newest member, Maria Miller, Executive Director of the Community Grief Center. She was sponsored by Jean Morrell. Maria joked that she has a short commute to the meetings, as she offices just across 20th street
3. Program
Kim Eastwood joined us from the Weld County CSU Extension Office. To begin, Kim shared an overview of the services provided by CSU Extension, including the Master Gardener program, as well as support for home food processors, agriculture, horticulture and livestock. She then focused on the upcoming County Fair, along with the county 4-H program. This year the county fair will take place July 19 – 28. The Fair is free and open to the public and includes a variety activities and contests in a wide variety of areas including agriculture, livestock, natural resources, engineering, consumer and family, fine arts, horticulture and family living. Kim shared information about 4-H and encouraged youth from throughout the county, including those from cities, to get involved.
